Worship

The purpose of the Worship Ministry of Lampasas First United Methodist Church is to help provide quality, God honoring, worship services as a sacred context, to come together for the sake of Christ. By coming together for the sake of Christ in worship we have an opportunity to offer our prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness to the Lord and share in the means of God's grace through His word, and the holy sacraments.

Lay Readers:
Lay Readers are trained to help lead worship and read scripture. If you would like to serve on this team call Tami Hurst: 512-556-5513.

Communion Stewards:
Communion Stewards are trained to help serve communion. If you would like to serve on this team, please call Tami Hurst:512-556-5513.

Acolytes:
Acolytes are trained to help with the procession in our worship at the beginning of worship and light the candles. If you would like to be an acolyte of have your children trained to help serve, please call Tami Hurst: 512-556-5513.

Ushers:
Ushers are trained to help with worship, by assisting with greeting and seating and collecting offering, and other worship related, and other related issues.

Paraments and Decorations Team:
This team ensures our worship spaces are decorated and fitted appropriate for each season (including alter paraments and flowers).

Audio Visual Team:
Volunteers are trained for various re responsibilities including running worship slides, sound board, livestreaming services and video recording services. 

Drama Team:
For this new ministry we are looking for all ages to build a drama team to perform short skits throughout the year in our worship services.
